In an interregional event of the Enerselves project, belonging to the Interreg Europe program, held on last May 17, Bus.Trainers was a focus of attention.

Trainer training, professional qualifications, user awareness and compliance with quality standards are key aspects for the 2020 horizon, according to experts who participated in the informative seminar on «The importance of training of trainers in ‘green’ skills for the construction sector», organized by Confederación Nacional de la Construcción (CNC), with the collaboration of Fundación Laboral de la Construcción, on Thursday May 10th, attended by about twenty representatives of institutions and companies from the construction industry and the field of training.

Build Up Skills II, a ‘successful, relevant, timely and unique initiative’

A report by the European Commission highlights the “Construye 2020 Route” as an example of best practices.

“Build Up Skills II has been a successful, relevant, timely and unique initiative. The European projects helped lay the foundations for the training of construction workers, developed innovative and high quality materials, developed a good network and made construction workers and policy makers aware of the importance of energy efficiency and renewable energy systems and succeeded in bringing training in specialized skills to blue-collar workers”.

These are the general conclusions of the final evaluation report of the European initiative Build Up Skills Pillar II has just released this week. The study was carried out by the consultancy firm Trinomics, with the support of an advisory firm, specialized in education and innovation policies, Visionary Analytics, for the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (Easme) and analyzed the 22 Build Up Skills Pillar II projects that were carried out in the European Union, where the “Construye 2020 Route”, led by the Fundación Laboral, is also mentioned as an example of best practices.

Building green skills for trainers in the construction industry

The European Commission has adjudicated to Fundación Laboral de la Construcción ten new projects to be developed over the next three years. In four of them, the joint entity will participate as coordinator and in the other six, as partner.

The four initiatives led by Fundación Laboral de la Construcción belong to the Erasmus+ programme, entre las que está “Bus.Trainers. Building skills in energy efficiency and renewable energy systems for trainers in the construction industry”, within the framework of Key Action 2 of Cooperation for Innovation and Exchange of Good Practices.
