The Maltese municipality of Birgu has been the place chosen by the European consortium to celebrate the fifth meeting of the Bus.Trainers project, belonging to the Erasmus+ program, from 7th to 9th November. The meeting was attended by representatives of the different entities that are part of the project, from Malta, Spain, Italy, Greece and Portugal.
The Maltese partners, Malta Intelligent Energy Management Agency (Miema) and Gozo Business Chamber (GBC), have organised the partnership meeting and the Infoday “Building Skills on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Systems for Trainers in the Construction Industry”, together with the project leader, Fundación Laboral de la Construcción.
Three working days dedicated mainly to the presentation and discussion of the training resources in competences in energy efficiency and renewable energy systems, developed by the partners. Furthermore, the group focused on project management and on the development of the different phases of the project, with emphasis on multimedia resources, and directives for implementing the Bus.Trainers Qualification System (accreditation system of ecological competences of industry trainers).
Qualification of trainers in Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Systems
Finally, on 9 October the Partnership held the infoday called “Building Skills on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Systems for Trainers in the Construction Industry”, which focused on the importance of training for Vocational Education and Training (VET) trainers of the construction sector in ‘green’ skills (energy efficiency and renewable energy systems) for subsequent transmission of knowledge to VET and continuing vocational training students, which was attended by institutions from Malta’s construction sector, as well as representatives from the sector and other stakeholders.
