Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving (Cres)

 

 

The Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Savings (Cres), designated as the national focal point in its area of activity, is the Greek organization for renewable energy resources (RER), the rational use of energy (RUE) and savings of energy (SE).

Cres was founded in September 1987 by Presidential Decree 375/87. It is a public entity, supervised by the Ministry of Environment and Energy and has financial and administrative independence.

Its main objective is the research and promotion of RER/RUE/SE applications at national and international level, as well as the support of related activities, taking into account the principles of sustainable development.

The Centre is managed by a seven-member Administrative Council, which includes representatives of the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, Culture and Sports), the Public Energy Corporation and the Hellenic Business Federation.

Cres has a scientific team of more than 120 highly qualified and experienced multidisciplinary scientists and engineers. Its organizational structure is made up of the following units: Renewable Energy Sources Division, Energy Efficiency Division, Energy Planning and Policy Division, Development Programs Division, Financial and Administrative Services Division; in addition to two separate offices, Office of Quality Assurance and Legal Services.

National Laboratory of Energy and Geology (LNEG)

 

 

The National Energy and Geology Laboratory (LNEG) is an R & D institution focused on meeting the needs of society and companies. Betting on sustainable research, through the generation of knowledge in the Portuguese territory.

At the same time it grows internationally and guarantees having an adequate response to the needs of the business sector in its areas of competence. It generates science in energy and geology, with a view to its application in competitive advanced solutions.

The LNEG makes available to the interested parties the competences of the institution so that they can be exploited in the technological development of the country, promoting the establishment of new national and international alliances, highlighting those held with the industry, administration and other partner institutions of the national and international scientific system.

This National Laboratory works for the interaction with society, with intervention in the areas of Energy and Geology, assisting the government in public policies.

Centre for the Professional Education and Training of Civil Construction and Public Works of the South (Cenfic)

 

 

Centre for the Professional Education and Training of Civil Construction and Public Works of the South, approved through Ordinance No. 492/87, of June 12.

It is an entity endowed with legal personality of public law, non-profit, with administrative and financial autonomy and its own assets.

Founded by an agreement between the Institute of Employment and Vocational Training, the Association of Industrial Building Construction and the Association of Construction Companies, Public Works and Services.

Cenfic is a reference entity in Portugal, within the scope of Vocational Training and professional certification, particularly in the construction sector:

It provides the conditions that make possible the formation in the professions of the business world in the industry, as well as the professional certification, looking for suitable answers to the needs of companies and collaborators.

Institute for Professional and Vocational Training in construction sector (Formedil)

 

 

The Institute for professional Vocational Training in construction sector -Formedil- was born in 1980, promoted by the key industry associations of the construction sector, signatories of the collective agreement (ANCE, Feneal Uil, Filca CISL, CGIL FILLEA), who participate in the same condition in the management of Formedil.

In Italy, Vocational Training specialized in the construction sector is established by a national system of joint training regulated by national collective labour agreements of industry, cooperatives, small businesses and crafts.

The objective of Formedil is the promotion, application and coordination at the national level of training, qualification and recycling in the construction sector carried out by the training centres of the industry. The training activities are carried out by building local schools according to the needs of the local labour market.

Formedil promotes agreements and memoranda of understanding with public bodies responsible for education training and education issues; and participates in national and international projects that favour, in particular, the students and professors of specialized training centres in construction.

National Association of Builders (Ance)

 

 

The National Association of Builders was created on May 5, 1946, the date on which the Constituent Assembly, formed by the delegates of almost all the local and regional associations that represent the industry entrepreneurs of the country, decided the name of the Association approved by its Statute.

Ance consists of approximately 20,000 private companies, specializing in public works, housing, commercial and industrial buildings, environmental protection, construction promotion and specialized processing.

The associative system covers the entire national territory and is divided into 102 local associations and 20 regional organizations.

Ance directs its action to the promotion and strengthening of the business values and the industrial labour force of the construction and its supply chain, and contributes to the attainment of the general interests of the country.

Institute of Robotics and Information Technology and Communications (IRTIC)

 

 

The Institute of Robotics and Information Technology and Communications IRTIC) is a university research centre dependent on the University of Valencia and currently consists of four research groups covering different disciplines associated with the area of information technology and communications.

Since its foundation in the early 90s, the institute has sought to establish collaboration frameworks with both public entities and private companies in order to promote the exchange of knowledge and bring research to the business world. IRTIC mainly develops applied research activities and development of tailor-made solutions, promoting the lines of action that provide a benefit to society. These activities are specified in projects and contracts on information management systems, telematics applications to traffic and transport, computer graphics and virtual reality, systems for the integration of the disabled, simulation of civilian machinery, network services and computer security and digital process of images.

National Confederation of Construction Industry (CNC)

 

 

The National Confederation of Construction Industry (CNC) is the top business organization of the construction sector in Spain, grouping the vast majority of business organizations in this sector.

Established in 1977, under the Law 19/1977 of April 1 on Regulation of the Right of Trade Association, its objective is the representation of the sector before the public authorities or other national and international, public or private entities.

At the national level, the CNC is a member of the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE) and the Spanish Confederation of Small and Medium Enterprises (Cepyme). Within the European Union, the CNC is part of the Federation of the European Construction Industry (FIEC), as well as of the European Builders Confederation (EBC).

Labour Foundation for Construction

 

 

The Labour Foundation for Construction has been working since 1992 to provide companies and workers with the resources that make a more professional, safer, more qualified and future-oriented sector possible.

This is the purpose for which the National Construction Confederation (CNC), CCOO for Construction and Services and the Federation of Industry, Construction and Agriculture (UGT-FICA) joined, forming this joint non-profit entity.

The Construction Labour Foundation is a reference entity in the sector and a key ally to work for and for the future of companies and professionals, in issues such as prevention of occupational risks, training, innovation, sustainability and new technologies.

Tens of thousands of construction workers spend each year in the classrooms of the joint entity and are trained through 45 own training centres, an offer composed of more than 400 training actions, the collaboration of more than 1,500 teachers throughout Spain and the elaboration of more than 100 own manuals on different subjects of the sector.

The training is specialized in construction activities and is eminently practical and of high quality, having as main objectives to retrain and specialize workers and contribute to their employability and professional development.
