Bus.Trainers, in the largest Portuguese event of artificial intelligence and urban development

The Portugal Smart Cities Summit event, held at the International Fair of Lisbon (FIL), from May 21 to 23, 2019, was aimed at discussing smart cities as well as presenting smart solutions and projects, where technology and innovation predominate. The Portugal Smart Cities Summit 2019 pointed out topics of great relevance for the Portuguese economy, being considered the largest event on artificial intelligence applied to urban development.

It comprised a program of 10 conferences highlighting the Connecting People With Cities conference and the Top Women Conference which sought to highlight the work of women in this area in order to break down some stereotypes related to the technology sector. In addition to the conferences, the event included a Technological Exhibition (150 exhibitors) for professionals and the general public, with national participation in projects, start-up’s, spin-offs, universities, public and private entities, companies and national and international entrepreneurs.

National Laboratory of Energy and Geology (LNEG) participated in the stand of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Transition  (Mate), where it was released the European project “BuS.Trainers – Building up green Skills for Trainers from the Construction Industry” among other relevant projects in the area of Energy.

The Portugal Smart Cities Summit by Green Business Week, which began in 2014, is an annual event linked to Sustainability, Energy Efficiency, Mobility, Urban Rehabilitation and the debate on the future of smart cities and creating opportunities for business creation in sectors of research, innovation, development and education.
